WHAT IS BELLY FAT:
Belly fat is a more significant issue than the aesthetics of squeezing into last year’s skinny jeans – it’s an indicator of your overall health. There are two types of fat that sit around our midriffs. One is the subcutaneous fat – the fat under your skin that is distributed all over your body. It’s what is referred to when asked if you can pinch more than an inch. The other type is visceral fat, which surrounds all our vital organs such as the liver, pancreas and intestines.

Visceral fat is said to be more “metabolically active” than subcutaneous fat, and researchers have found that the stress hormone cortisol significantly increases its storage. It has been strongly linked to both insulin resistance, inflammation and metabolic disease, even in those who have a normal BMI. But although it is considered more dangerous to our health, the good news is that it is easier to shift than subcutaneous fat.

Use this calorie calculator to find out how many calories you need to consume to maintain your weight. Then reduce that figure by 500 calories as explained in the diet portion size guide to start losing weight and belly fat quite quickly.

DIET PORTION SIZE:
To help participants reduce the amount they were eating, they were encouraged to measure portions based on the size of their hands.

They aimed for a daily intake of,
• Three fist-sized servings of carbohydrates
• Two palm-sized servings of lean protein
• Two cupped handfuls of vegetables or salad
• Two fist-sized servings of fruit
• Two servings of fat or oil covering the tip of the thumb

In addition they could have 200ml/⅓ pint skimmed or semi-skimmed milk, or two 125g pots of natural or low-calorie yoghurt.

RESULTS:
After six weeks, the results were revealing.

As explained in the video there was another group in the experiment – the sit-up group. They each did a daily 10-minute abdominal workout over the six-week period.

This group didn’t lose any weight or get any healthier, but they did lose an impressive average of 2cm from their waistlines.

But the clear winner was our group the diet-control group. This group lost an average of 3.7kg each over just six weeks. Their average waistline reduced by 5cm. Dexa scan readings showed an average of 10 per cent of their existing body fat being lost, and an impressive 20 per cent reduction in the visceral fat inside the abdomen. This group lost overall body fat as well as abdominal fat, and saw improvements in their other general health parameters too. Including resting heart rate, blood glucose, blood lipids, weight and blood pressure.

In this video I had teamed up with The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) who regulate all medicines in the UK. Our aim in this video, was to warn people about the dangers of buying potentially life threatening diet pills from illegal online suppliers.

Almost 2 in 3 people suffered unpleasant side effects after taking dangerous online slimming pills, these included bleeding that wouldn’t stop, heart attacks, strokes and hallucinations!

Before and After Pics 80 Day Weight Loss Transformation – Motivational

It’s been a long road to slim but this is just the beginning. I have lost almost 50 pounds so far in about 80 days. A lot of sweat and painful workouts with injury and sacrifice of a lot of things I used to love has brought me here… my before and after pics are very different and I am very please with my results thus far. I am happy with my results of my weight loss transformation so far. I would recommend the carb cycling diet program I used to anyone over the Atkins diet simply because if you aren’t eating carbs at all, it is very difficult to work out. I learned this during week 1 and needed to change up my diet to go with my workout routine and schedule. It’s amazing how you can eat every two hours and lose weight faster and healthier than not eating much at all because your metabolism actually burns fat constantly and stays out of fat-storing mode when you eat small meals within no more than 3 hours apart. I tried 3 different workout routines and I must say that the showtime plan made me work the hardest and probably burned the most fat. So it would have to be my favorite… more intense and I like that.

I am definitely not done here. I still have a goal to be ripped by this summer so I still need to lose about 20 more pounds of fat and pack on about 10 to 15 pounds of muscle. I would like my body fat percentage to be down to around 12 %. Right now, it’s at around 22.

PAS Youth today declared its support for Penang Fatwa Council’s decision to prohibit the use of loudspeakers for the recital of the Quran before dawn prayers.

Speaking to reporters in Shah Alam today, PAS Youth chief Nasrudin Hassan said that this prohibition is in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

“We feel this is a correct move as the prophet had prohibited his followers from reciting their prayers in a manner which disturbs others in performing their worship.

“The reading of the Quranic verses using loudspeaker is done at 4am or 4.30am and this could the disturb the sleep of young children, or individuals who are praying in their own homes,” he said.

He added that the prohibition is not for the call of prayer and many do not realise that they could be disturbing others.

“This is the beauty of Islam. Most don’t realise (it is wrong) as they feel that (reading the Quran using loudspeakers) is an act of worship (beribadat),” he said.

My Fat Burning GYM Routine (Treadmill Interval Running)

Don’t be intimidated by the weight section. Take this workout and practice it in the gym. =)

Here’s the workout sequence –
Warm up: 5 – 10 mins
Superset 1: Goblet Squat / In & Out Jumps
4-Minute Incline Interval Running
Superset 2: Bent-Over Row to Deadlift / Push-up & Twist
4-Minute Speed Interval Running
Superset 3: Bicep Curl to Shoulder Press / Bench Dips
4-Minute Incline Interval Running
Superset 4: Half V Tucks / Spiderman Plank
4-Minute Speed Interval Running

*Each Superset: 8 Minutes, 8 Intervals (45secs Workout – 15secs Rest)
*Rest for 1 minute between each transition

Total Time: 1 hour
Estimated Calories Burned: 450 – 550Cals
Best Results: Do this workout 2 to 3 times weekly on alternate days
Perform moderately intense workout on other days.

*You can perform the treadmill cardio training on other machines such as stepper, cross-trainer, row, bicycle etc.
